Concepts for the turn of a page, and the semblance of a story.
A fictionalised approximation of an actual, sudden loss.
Accompanied with soundtrack curated from a selection of old recordings: I saved up for a piano keyboard and cheap synth first thing after I left home in 1993. By way of a double-jack input splitter I recorded through a cheap ‘3 in 1’ hifi and hacked the double tape deck to mix and edit.

A dark travelogue of inward-looking observation
This series of images are derived from a combination of aerial photographs and other images shot 'on the ground' during various trips to North America, 2012-2016.
The title Hohlweltlehre references an elusive mythical notion - linked in the past to occult secret societies and conspiracies - that proposed the Earth as almost entirely hollow. Hohlweltlehre also proposed the Earth’s surface as in fact underground and therefore the surface of the earth sitting upon its concave curvature.
